2. A Comprehensive Child Protection Plan

Before you go away, ensure the well-being and care of your children by planning out the worst-case scenarios while there is time. You NEED to have guardians identified because if you haven't updated or have not written a will mentioning guardians for your children, your kids could be at risk of being cared for by strangers while the authorities figure out what to do if the unthinkable happens.

1. Allocation of Assets

The assets that are meant to be distributed amongst beneficiaries- children, spouse, and anyone else, which may include your staff, relatives, charity organisations and pets.

‍2. Appointment of a ‘Power of Attorney’ 

The PoA must be vested to the person who is entrusted by the Testator (You) to make medical decisions in case of an emergency, and protect your personal, financial, and health decisions when the testator is rendered incapable to make such decisions.

3. Update in the Will 

If you’ve already made a Will and want to update any new assets or members for allocation. The time to do this is before you leave for that oh so awesome vacation.
