LIFE IS UNCERTAIN!- Why Should You Care About Breast Cancer

The projected incidence of patients with cancer in India among males was 679,421 (94.1 per 100,000) and among females 712,758 (103.6 per 100,000) for the year 2020.1 Cancer being a fatal disease always keeps you engaged with your health tensions, even your family members. The diagnosis of cancer in the early stages of your life is even worse, especially when you also have dependents. In the headlines, Cancer patients are always shown asking “How long have I got, Doc?”

According to Government data, in 2020, on average, nearly four out of ten women are diagnosed with breast cancer in India. More than two lakh women in India were estimated to have been diagnosed with breast cancer, and more than 76,000 deaths were reported. As per the 2020 National Cancer Registry Program Report, the number is expected to rise to more than 2.3 lakh cases in 2025.

Cancer patients are always full of queries and having someone experienced to answer all of such questions really helps a lot. All the questions regarding the kind of cancer, whether it can be cured, which treatments will be beneficial, what to expect and not etc. Many doctors and cancer awareness organisations connect them with other cancer patients or survivors through support groups to let them gain back their morale and have the support that this too shall pass. Having someone by your side really helps you get through difficult times and make the right decision.

This breast cancer awareness month, we want to add another perspective to it. We have analysed that when people visit cancer patients, they only sympathize with their health but rarely anyone would give you this important advice especially to women because after a point it becomes extremely important to think about it as well.

  3. Giving back to your parents because the law gives prominence to your husband’s parents
  4. Saving your family from legal disputes in the future
  5. Because the nominee of your assets will not be necessarily the ultimate beneficiary
