Most Accidents Happen Between 6pm-9 pm & 9am-12pm

A study undertaken by the Pune city traffic branch has revealed that:

1. The accidents which happened between 6pm-9pm resulted in the most fatalities.
2. The accidents which happened between 9am-12pm resulted in serious injuries.

The study states that 42 fatal deaths took place between 6 pm to 9pm and the victims belonged to the age group between 18-25 and 25-35 while an aggregate of 80 persons sustained life-threatening and serious injuries which shows that the commuters on way to work and while returning home became victims of road accidents.

Road accident deaths in Delhi increased in 2021 as compared to 2020

In 2020, the total accidents were 3,976 in Delhi, out of which 1,119 were fatal accidents. In 2021, as many as 4,512 accidents were reported, of which 1,145 were fatal accidents. A total of 1,151 died due to road accidents in Delhi in 2020 whereas, in 2021, a total of 1,180 died in fatal accidents reported.

If most of the accidents are happening with people going to or returning from work, we can assume that they must be the persons financially responsible for the household and dependents.
